A straightforward 0.3 mile hiking trail with a scenic lookout point over the Caney Fork River. Located with the Virgin Falls area.

Address: Welch’s Point Road, Sparta, Tennessee

*Use GPS – it will show as Welch’s Point Road. This is within the Virgin Falls area on a gravel road with signage at the front. Follow the signs – you will be driving a couples miles back into this area. You will first come across Virgin Falls parking area. That is a strenuous 8.7  hike featuring multiple waterfalls, a cave and lookout points. It’s best to give yourself a few hours to explore both.

This is also within the Virgin Falls State Natural Area which entails other trails including Virgin Falls waterfall trail, Martha’s Pretty Point, Laurel Falls and more. 

A very easy hiking trail that is more like a path. This is a very scenic and remote spot. Highly recommend during any season because the view is amazing! Go here if you want to know what it’s like to be an eagle perched on a bluff.
