This place is rich with beauty and culture.
With its warm climate, electric turquoise waters, and laid-back charm, Turks and Caicos offers an unforgettable tropical escape for travelers seeking relaxation and adventure alike.
With so many truly amazing things to see and do, Turks and Caicos is the best location for your next vacation.
North and Middle Caicos
Part of this archipelago are the twin gems of North Caicos and Middle Caicos. If you’re seeking a remote and serene destination teeming with adventure, this is the place.
Linked by a causeway, North Caicos (with a population of less than 1500) and Middle Caicos (with less than 200 residents) are actually the largest islands in Turks & Caicos. With that being said, if you are planning on spending time here, be sure to plan accordingly. There is a lot of ground to cover and plenty to see.
Explore ancient ruins, hidden caves, secluded beaches, and breathtaking coastal cliffs. It is a place you see in the movies. It’s a photographer’s dream!
Attractions include:
Mudjin Harbor, dramatic rugged cliff sides and stellar beaches
Dragon Cay, an island off the coast that resembles a dragon
Wades Green Plantation, the ruins of a well-preserved cotton plantation dating back to the 18th century
Bambarra Beach, home to the colorful beach huts
Conch Bar Caves, the largest above-ground cave in the Bahama archipelago
Three Mary Cays, three rock formations off the coast of North Caicos. A well-hidden spot makes for picnic views and snorkeling.
and a lot more!
How to Get There
With ferry services running up to five times a day from Monday to Saturday, it’s possible to embark on a day trip to North and Middle Caicos and return by evening. Regular scheduled ferries depart from Heaving Down Rock Marina (Walkin Marina) on Providenciales, and arrive at Bellefield Landing on North Caicos.
Should you opt for a lengthier stay on either North Caicos or Middle Caicos, a plethora of accommodation options are available. With more time at your disposal, you’ll have the opportunity to thoroughly explore all that these islands have to offer.
Lifestyle
If you’re looking for a place that is off the beaten path and getting away truly means getting away, this would be the ideal location for a second home. The idea of a private island getaway is something out of a book.
Can you imagine waking up on an island watching the sun set over the ocean every day?
With Turks and Caicos continuing to be named as one of World’s Best destinations by several travel publications and the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), this would also be a prime location for an investment property such as a villa or on a grander scale, a development, hotel or resort.
Just another island within the Turks and Caicos Islands, North Caicos and Middle Caicos are the perfect mix of nature, serenity, and authentic island charm for those seeking an off-the-beaten-path destination.
