Oppenheimer

Recently released in theaters and worth the money! This movie can be hard to follow if you’re not familiar with the historic event so before you watch this, just know the film chronicles the career of American theoretical physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer. The story predominantly focuses on Oppenheimer’s studies and his direction of the Manhattan Project during World War II.

Dune

Dune is a sprawling science fiction epic that follows the young Paul Atreides as his family assumes control of the desert planet Arrakis, the only known source of the spice melange, the most valuable substance in the universe. Dune 2 is set to release November 3rd so watch before then!

Dunkirk

This is a darker and intense war film so be prepared. This movie tells the story of the evacuation of British, French, Belgian, and Canadian troops from the beaches of Dunkirk as they faced encirclement by German forces.

Interstellar

This one starts a little slow but sticking with it throughout will pay off in the end. Interstellar is set in a future where Earth is suffering from widespread crop failures and a dying environment. Cooper (played by Matthew McConaughey), a former NASA pilot and engineer, is recruited for a daring mission to find a new habitable planet for humanity.

The King

Okay so not a movie but another intense drama you can’t miss. You can find this one on Netflix. The King follows the young and reluctant King Henry V as he ascends the throne of England after the death of his father. Timothée Chalamet plays the king, and it’s one of his best performances! And for my Twilight fans, Robert Pattinson plays his opponent, The Dauphin. Great casting, nice production and editing….10 / 10!
