  • Grab your mountain bike and hit the 4 mile trail

Recreational Activities

Cumberland Mountain State Park offers a wide range of recreational activities for visitors of all ages. Some popular activities include hiking, fishing, boating, swimming, and golfing. The park features over 14 miles of hiking trails that wind through the woodlands, along streams, and to scenic overlooks. Fishing is available in Byrd Lake, which is stocked with bass, catfish, and bluegill. The lake also allows for non-motorized boating and swimming in designated areas. Additionally, there is an 18-hole championship golf course within the park.

Camping and Picnicking

The park provides various camping options for both RVs and tents. It offers campsites with electrical and water hookups, as well as primitive tent camping areas. There are also picnic areas throughout the park with tables, grills, and shelters, providing a great place for picnicking and enjoying outdoor meals.
