6 Ways to Decorate Pumpkins (Real or Fake)

1. Classic Pumpkin Carving

Choose from any design! Most stores offer various kits with different designs and tools. You can even freehand and create your own design! Try using different carving techniques like etching, scraping, or shaving to create varying levels of depth and texture.

4. Mosaic

Use broken glass, mirror for a disco look, ceramic tiles, or colored stones to create a mosaic pattern on your pumpkin’s surface. This technique can be time-consuming but results in a beautiful, textured finish.

5. Lights and Candles

Illuminate your pumpkins! The easiest way to do this is with a drill. Create a pattern and mark your holes with a permanent marker. Use a drill to create the holes – be sure they are large and / or numerous so the light can shine through! Place LED lights or string lights inside to create a warm and inviting glow.

6. Bedazzled Pumpkins

Add a little bling! Buy a variety pack of fake gems and add a little sparkle to your pumpkins!

Remember to seal your decorated pumpkins with a clear varnish or sealer to help preserve your designs and extend their lifespan. Additionally, always consider safety when using candles or open flames inside pumpkins.
